The ancient Israel was punished for rebelling against God.
面臨被外人入侵攻陷之前，先知 以賽亞 收到 神的話。
Their prophet Isaiah passed on God's message before they were invaded.

He said, “Go and tell this people: ‘Yes, you hear, but you don’t understand. You certainly see, but you don’t get the point!’ “Make the heart of this people [sluggish with] fat, stop up their ears, and shut their eyes. Otherwise, seeing with their eyes, and hearing with their ears, then understanding with their hearts, they might repent and be healed!”

God did not let all of His people died when He punished them.

神 在多次嚴懲 背叛祂的子民 仍有手下留情。

The flood, the Exodus exile period, Sodom, numerous times occupied /destroyed by foreign powers, 

some people were saved.

大洪水、出埃及後在野外流亡期間、天火焚城(所多瑪) 、多次外族入侵亡國...  

仍有少量人得救。

He also send Chrust Jesus to teach people how to return to God, and redemned people's sins.

祂 亦派 救主耶穌 教人重返正道 並 為世人贖罪 。
