偶然想起某金句筆記沒有 郭實臘的譯本. 去信望愛網站找.

郭實臘 (Karl Friedrich August Gützlaff) 1803～1851.

荷蘭宣道會（Netherlands Missionary Society）派出 郭實臘 至東亞宣教，
英文著作有時用Charles Gutzlaff，漢名有時作郭士立；德國籍，屬信義宗）。

郭實臘曾多次去東南亞多國.
1831年起, 去中國﹑新加坡﹑台灣﹑高麗（朝鮮）、琉球...
 網頁指「他應該是荷蘭人退出後，最早抵台灣之更正教宣教師。」

他和
麥都思(Walter Henry Medhurst，來自英國倫敦會)、
裨治文(Elijah Coleman Bridgman，來自美國公理會)、
馬儒翰(John R. Morrison，
馬禮遜(Robert Morrison)之子)組成四人小組，
以文言文翻譯聖經。

1834年接任 英國牧師 馬禮遜Robert Morrison之位置.


1840年鴉片戰爭中，他擔任英軍司令官的翻譯和嚮導，
以及英軍佔領下的定海知縣、鎮江知府。
其後，他參與及起草《南京條約》。


曾任首任 香港 港督Sir Henry Pottinger  璞鼎查/砵甸乍 的 中文秘書 及 撫華道。


曾於1844年創「福漢會」（The Chinese Union），訓練華人深入內地，散發書刊及佈教；會員曾去廣東至海南、廣西、江西、福建等地，還創立「中國傳教會」，在倫敦招募來華傳教士。中國傳教會把戴德生送到中國。後來戴德生成功地建立了中國內地會.戴德生稱呼他為「中國內地會之祖」.

1851年8月9日郭實臘在香港去世。
香港中環吉士笠街俗稱「紅毛嬌街」，就是以他命名。

他有多種語言作品85項; 中文佔61項.

郭實臘這個譯本的聖經非常稀有，只存在英國劍橋﹑英國哈佛 和 澳洲國立圖書館.
是中國直排傳統線裝書(如 舊版 包羅萬有 通勝 那種 )

太平天國所用的『新舊遺詔聖書』乃是太平天國的天王洪秀全 篡改自 郭實臘的譯本,在南京出版.

一直不明白馬太福音/馬竇福音15章26及27節內 那關於 麵包 與狗 的謎樣對話。
「把孩子的麵包扔給狗是不對的。」
「是的，但桌子下面的狗可吃孩子們掉下來的東西！」
???
終於找到一個提示。

以下節錄自YouVersion Bible 手機軟件其中一個每日讀經計劃的某一日的指南. 譯為中文，加少少註釋如下)

「...試想像你站在人群中，留意你的想法。

註:
⏰時代:
那年代，羅馬帝國侵佔中東很多地，猶太人也是被外來羅馬人管治。猶太人與外邦人之間身份地位信仰習慣差異大。人們說話更小心委婉，多暗喻隱喻故事。
🔼地點:
我們現在北上，遠離加利利。耶穌已經講過這個地區（'提爾和西頓的區域'），以清楚表明他和他的猶太聽眾認為它是「非猶太人/外邦人」的地方（11章21節）。現在他來到這裡，我們不知道為什麼; 或許是避開他與猶太人猶太教中堅持猶太法律的Pharasees 法利賽人（15章1-20節）的爭論。

當我們做旁觀者，突然一名當地婦女從人群中走出來，開始對耶穌大喊: 「大衛的兒子，憐憫我！」她的女兒似乎處於一種可怕的狀態: 受到了邪魔的折磨。 「大衛的兒子，憐憫我！」

大衛 , 大衛王King David. 以前一個優秀的君主。猶太人一直有預言說 新君主 救世主 會是出自大衛王的子孫)

「大衛之子？」那是嚴肅的話。南方的猶太人可能正在尋找即將到來的新王，但那與我們 非猶太人 有什麼關係呢？ 顯然這個女人很絕望。人群中的母親們能確切體會她的感受。為了女兒，他們會做任何事情來獲得幫助。然後那女人繼續說：「大衛之子，請憐憫我吧！」

但是耶穌和他的朋友們正在繼續前進，他甚麼也沒說。終於他的同行友人受夠了，說:「告訴她走開！她在我們後面大叫！」這是一個難題。人群認為耶穌是一個治療師。他為甚麼不醫一個小女孩？為甚麼他的追隨者不要他？

終於耶穌說話了，他的話讓人們感到害怕。
「我只被派去 以色列家迷失的羊群中。」

(註: 羊。迷失的羊。主是好的「牧羊人」引領及守護羊群。)

群眾嘀咕，「那你在幹甚麼？如果你不想幫助我們，為什麼還來找我們？」

我們回想起之前的事就可能會有答案: 
(法利賽人開始不滿。又引來數量龐大的人群。)
所以稍微 低調一點 是明智的。

而現在跟著耶穌一段時間，我們意識到他剛才所說的
  符合 他對十二門徒(在10章5-6節)說的 ：
「不要去外邦人那處，只去以色列。」 
耶穌強烈地意識到，
他從他的父 神 收到的嚴肅指示:
他的任務是向屬於神的子民猶太人宣布 神的統治。
如果他開始先向外人講道和教導的話，猶太人會把他當作叛徒。
他們永遠不會發現他是來完成他們最深切的希望。

但是那女人直接走到耶穌面前，跪在他面前。當人群靜下來聽時，我們屏住呼吸。「主啊，幫助我！」

然後耶穌回應:
「把孩子的麵包扔給狗是不對的。」

 狗！這就是當年
一些猶太人如何稱呼 猶太教外的非猶太人/外邦人。誠然耶穌並沒有那樣想。
... 他知道他的任務，並且不想失敗或不服從。
他必須付出的，他必須給 神的子民;
他們不能說即將到來的王不理睬他們而去了其他地方...

不單指飲食食糧，
也指精神上靈性的食糧，神的真理和教導 ... )

...那女人接受耶穌的觀點和看法 而扭轉為對她自己有利地說:
「是的，但桌子下面的狗可吃孩子們掉下來的東西！」
我們感覺到人群中的竊竊私語:
好棒！說得好！幹得好！
耶穌似乎同意, 說:「你的信心很大！如你所願，就這樣成事。」 那女孩就醫好了。

我們仍然在想：這就是我們所說的Faith「信」嗎？
要有信心看 神 奇妙的計劃是如何運作的，儘管它並不完全依我們心意？
要有信心去堅持依靠耶穌所說的一切，即使是出乎意料的，並按此法祈禱，而不是要求他按照我們想要的方式去做我們想做的事情？

耶穌的目光在人群中慢慢掃視，在你身上停了一會兒。
他似乎在說「那你想從我身上得到甚麼？」
「你有足夠的信心去看到 神 的奇妙計劃正在努力找到你需要的東西？」

今天:
統治一切的 神 耶和華啊，
賜給我們信心 去尋求你的幫助，
並謙卑地接受你的條件。」
